January Favourites!

Hello everyone!

As I said back in my 2015 blogging resolutions, I want to do a favourites post at the end of every month and here we are with my January Favourites! I have a mix of beauty, fashion, book, app, blog & vlog favourites to share with you so let's get started!

I had planned to film a video to accompany this post, however luck wasn't on my side as I've been unwell the whole second half of January and am only starting to feel better now! Fingers crossed February will bring better health & more videos on my Youtube channel!

MUA Cream Blush in 'Scrummy' // MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighter // Collection Lengthening Mascara // W7 Butter Kiss Lipstick in 'Red Tulip' // L'Oreal Elvive Full Restore 5 Extreme Double Serum

If you saw my recent everyday makeup post, you won't be surprised by the cheek combo that is this cream blusher and highlight, both from MUA. I used to always stick to the same powder blush day in day out but I've been loving having the option to switch things up and add a little bit of shimmer to the tops of my cheekbones! The Collection mascara also featured in my everyday makeup and I haven't used any other mascaras since finding it. The lipstick from W7 came into my life near the end of January when I was sent a couple of things from the brand and the second I tried it I was beyond impressed, especially by it's staying power. I won't say too much as I'll have a full review of this in February so keep an eye out for that! I've never used a hair serum before so I was very excited to try this L'Oreal one. I use one or two pumps most days and it just smooths my hair and keeps fly aways at bay. It also has to be said it leaves your hair smelling amazing for the whole day!

FASHION

Topshop Leigh Jeans

As I've been sick for most of the time recently, my realistic fashion favourites would be my pyjama's & fluffy socks. I pretty much haven't worn much else, however my go to item anytime I've needed to pop out are my dark blue Topshop Leigh Jeans. They're ridiculously comfy, go with everything and I really like where they come up to on me. One thing I hate about jeans is if they're too low rise but these are a lovely inbetween normal & high waisted pair I've no doubt will last me ages. Plus, I got them for only £2.50 in a charity shop! You can see how I styled them in the thrift haul post they first appeared in if you'd like to!

READING

The Secret The Power by Rhonda Byrne

I used to read book after book after book when I was younger. I really wish I'd kept that up but sadly I rarely even pick one up these days. In an attempt to try and read more, I've been rereading one of my favourite books; The Secret The Power. If you haven't heard of it, basically it guides you along the path of grabbing your life by the balls to become positive and get the most out of living. If you take a minute to leave any cynicism aside, you really will reap the benefits from reading this and for that reason, I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone. Feel like your life is stuck in a rut? Can't wait for your life to 'start'? Read this. I've been reading a little bit before bed most nights and along with a face mask, it's the best way to wind down and get yourself ready for the next day.

APPS

The following apps may not be new to your phone but they are to mine this month, and I really don't know why I didn't download them sooner! The first is Bloglovin'. What I don't read in physical books I more than make up for in blogs - I follow and read loads! Although I'll always prefer viewing posts on my laptop, the app just makes it so much easier to get through them when you're on the go. Another app I've become obsessed with is Pinterest. Before I got it on my phone, I used to pin sporadically every now and then when I remembered the site existed. Now, I guess you could say I'm an avid pinner and scrolling down my feed is one of my favourite ways to cure boredom!

BLOGS & VLOGS
As I mentioned, I read a lotta blogs and I watch a lotta vlogs so I thought I'd share with you a few of my faves!

No, I wouldn't.
One thing here was sent to me for reviewing purposes (the W7 lipstick) but all opinion are honest & my own.
